[NR7302] IP passthrough not working

I'm running the device on 1.00(ACHA.4)b5_F0 and it's connected to the Telekom network in Germany.

I'm trying to get IP passthrough working correctly. So I connected it to a dedicated port on a OpenWRT router and IP passthrough is set to dynamic mode.

I can see that the mode is enabled and the device even shows the associated IPv4 address.

But the OpenWRT doesn't receive the address via DHCP. With tcpdump on the interface I can monitor the broadcasts but no answers come through.

There was a hint about disabling the firewall on the Zyxel but I don't see any difference.

Anyone with success who can assist me?

    OK, the solution was simple, and maybe I missed it in the manual.

    On the bridge itself containing the APN, DHCP must be active, even if there is no particular interest in the network. For management reasons, I connect to the device via WiFi or one of the VLANs tagged.

    My understanding was that IP passthrough would serve DHCP requests.

    In case, somebody else encounters the same problem.

    Ich versuche gerade meinen Zyxel NR7302 (Firmware 1.00(ACHA.5)b1_F0) einzurichten, doch finde ich die Option für das Passthrough nicht, um die öffentliche IP an meine FRITZ!Box weiterzuleiten. Ich habe zwar einige Anleitungen gefunden (z.B. https://support.zyxel.eu/hc/de/articles/7254914487186-Zyxel-Router-Konfigurieren-des-Routers-im-Bridge-Modus-IP-Passthrough-Modus) doch spiegeln sich die Pfade nicht in meiner Weboberfläche wieder. Könntest du mir bitte kurz den Pfad zur Einrichtung nennen? Natürlich bin ich auch für jeden weiteren Tip dankbar, denn ich kenn mich wirklich nicht aus ;)

    You can find "IP Passthrough" under "Network Settings" → "Broadband" → "Cellular APN"
