I saw that too. Maybe there is some special configuration unique to Zyxel products? In any case, I hope Zyxel will fix the firmware upgrade soon!

I don't think there will be any updates. In a support ticket they answer me like this:

"from software development they tell me that the firmware was released for problems inherent to some specific geographical regions, i.e. it solves some specific problems which if not present, the update makes no sense. If there are no real connection problems, it is recommended not to carry out this update (hence the impossibility of carrying it out independently). In cases where it actually needs to be installed, following connectivity problems, remote access to the device must be left directly to colleagues in Taiwan, who will carry out the installation."

According to the release notes, the new release V1.00(ABUV.10)C0 was also optimized/tested for new LTE module FW RG502QEAACR13A04M4G _ZYXE - so I should update this as well - or !?

    Bootbase version : U-Boot 1.1.3 (Jul 18 2019 - 14:58:57)
    Firmware version : V1.00(ABUV.10)b2
    Kernel version: 3.10.14
    WLAN code version: V4.0.1.0rev1
LTE Module FW version: RG502QEAACR13A04M4G _ZYXEL

Although I already had my doubts about the old release V1.00(ABUV.8)C0 - after the LTE module FW update (RG502QEAAAR11A07M4G-RG502QEAACR13A02M4G.zip) I didn't have the AACR but the AAAR version on it, and on Releas notes was too the AACR!

Ah yes, interesting observation there! So perhaps the update:

    RG502QEAAAR11A07M4G-R13A02

in the advanced downloads section, here:

Is broken - indeed the zip file shows:

    RG502QEAAAR11A07M4G-RG502QEAACR13A02M4G.zip

But actually this did not result in AACR bur rather AAAR.

Maybe Zyxel meant to post the AAAR version of R13A04, as the text of the webpage says, but loaded the AACR version instead, which is not a compatible upgrade.

Do you know if this is something that Zyxel will change @Bob_C please?

I raised a support ticket and received a fix involving downgrade to R11A07 to reapply the R11A07-R13A02 upgrade in a way that resulted in compatibility with the R13A02-R13A04 upgrade. I expect this fix will be made available for other users.
