NAS326 - transfer data to replacement HDD.

Options

Hi all - my NAs326 fell onto the floor and the disk drives were degraded.

I have bought two new HDD and copied all the data onto onto one of the new HDD

When I put the new backup HDD and the empty one in the NAS it seems it wants me to create a Group and lose the data. ##How do I lkeep the data and set up a new Raid 1 system

Any help appreciated!!

If your old HDD has a RAID 1, you can follow these steps to replace the drives:

    1. Pull out one of the old HDD
    2. Insert one new HDD into the NAS and initiate the repair process through the NAS interface. This will pair the new HDD with the existing old HDD.
    3. Once the pairing is successful, remove the other old HDD from the NAS.
    4. Insert the second new HDD into the NAS and initiate the repair process again.

By following this procedure, you can replace the old HDDs with new ones in a RAID 1 configuration .
