Zyxel FWA510 Stability Issues

Hi everyone,

I am looking for some help with my Zyxel FWA510 (running the latest firmware). I am using it with a Telia SIM card in Sweden.

The Problem:

My connection is very unstable. The router frequently drops the internet connection. When it stops working, the "Globe" LED changes from Blue (5G) to Green (4G), but even though it shows a green light, there is no internet access at all. The only way to get it back online is a manual reboot.

What I have tried so far:

  • I tried locking the bands to NR5G-NSA and selecting specific bands (n28 and n78) to prevent "jumping" between 4G and 5G.
  • I have configured the APN manually to online.telia.se with PDP type IPv4 (and also tried IPv4/IPv6).
  • I have tried reverting settings to "Auto Selection," but the issue persists. The router seems to "freeze" or lose data routing during the handover between 5G and 4G.

My Goal:

I want to achieve a stable connection where the router doesn't "freeze" when the signal fluctuates. I would prefer to stay on 5G, but most importantly, I need the internet to stay alive without requiring a daily reboot.

Specific questions:

  1. Is this a known bug in the latest firmware regarding the 5G/4G handover?
  2. Are there specific LTE "anchor bands" for Telia Sweden I should lock/unlock to make the NSA connection more stable?
  3. Should I disable "Network Monitoring" or any other specific setting to prevent these freezes?

Any advice or stable configuration profiles for Telia would be greatly appreciated!
