Hi,

We purchased a new GS1920-24HP switch. SNMP is enabled at the site level and works fine with all other switches, but not with this new one. Please let me know what I can do and how I can enable SNMP on the new switch.

Thanks!

    Hi @nubira ,

Thank you for reaching out. If you have already enabled SNMP at the Site level according to the FAQ [How to activate/enable SNMP on Switch in NCC?], and SNMP is functioning properly on your other switches, the issue is likely specific to the new switch. Please check the following points:

    1. Configuration Status: In Nebula, ensure the new GS1920-24HP shows as Online and its configuration status is Up to date.
    2. Firmware Version: Upgrade the new switch to the same firmware version as your other switches via Site-wide > Configure > Firmware management.
    3. Network Reachability: Verify that your SNMP server can reach the switch's management IP (e.g., via ping), and confirm that UDP port 161 is not blocked by any firewall or ACL along the network path.

If the issue persists, please provide the following details to help us investigate:

    • The exact model (GS1920-24HP or GS1920-24HPv2) and its current firmware version (and whether it is up to date).
    • The failure symptom: whether the SNMP server receives no response at all (timeout) or only fails to query specific OIDs.
    • A brief overview of your network topology.
    • Please enable Remote Support access by following the FAQ below, and send us a private message (PM) with your Org/Site name along with the MAC address or Serial Number (S/N) of the affected switch so we can assist you further:
