Hi all,

I am a new user. I have recently installed the NR7101. I have upgraded the firmware but I having issues with the sim card. The system tells me the status of sim is SIM WAITING AVAILABLE. I have tested the sim card and it is working fine. I think it may be related to the DFOTA package but I am unsure. I would welcome any advice. Thanking you in advance.

    Maybe you have to type APN manually?

    Thanks Selberg. I have manually inputted the APN details. I am still getting the same message of Waiting Sim available. I have swapped sim slots but this has not worked either.

    I have also tried to upgrade DFOTA as per this link

    https://support.zyxel.eu/hc/en-us/articles/360021563900-NR7101-Connectivity-issues-and-firmware-fix-for-unsupported-frequency-bands-5G-NSA-B8-N1-

    The system informed the file image of the zip file is not accepted. I have removed the sim card while trying to undertake this upgrade but the same issue still arises.

    If you can provide any assistance it would be gratefully accept.

    What firmware are you using?

    Module firmware?

    The firmware I am using is 100ABUV7C0. I have tried the following Modem Upgrade SOP;

    • RG502QEAAAR01A04-R11A03 (I tried this one first)
    • RG502QEAAAR11A03-R11A06 (I tried this one second)
    • RG502QEAAAR11A06M4G-R11A07 (I tried this one last)

    I used the zip files for all three but the system would not accept any of them as the correct type of image file.

    I then removed the sim card and tried all three zip files again. This also did not work.

    It is not clear what the version of the module firmware is being used. It does not appear on the screen (See screenshot)
