PS. To access the network from Windows XP PRO without problems, check in Services that you have the "lan man" service disabled or manual and that you have the NT LM service, (Started) Auto or something similar. Win XP pro support only SMB V1; if you don't have old devices with outdated operating systems on your network, you can force samba on the Zyxel NAS to work exclusively with SMB V2, but if you have XP, it doesn't support SMB v2.

And if you want to use Network Discovery in Windows 10 you must use this in smb.conf:
local master = no
preferred master = no
os level = 20
IF NSA Become Master Browser … By by Network Discovery :)

And in windows 10 secpol.msc i selected:
Send NTLMv2 response only. Refuse LM &NTLM

Hi All
I am so alien to what you are talking about and how to install this update on both my NAS325v2 and NAS542.Could someone point me in the direction of a dummy step-by-step instructions on how to do what's needed from start to finish?
I did do some looking into it all and came across an app called Putty, which i managed to use to connect to my NAS542. But after that, I was lost on how to start the update. Was PuTTY the right app to use?
So sorry to be a pain about this
