It could also be a frequency hopping disturbing signal, such as oldskool motion sensors of alarm systems operating on 2.4GHz.
For such things you will need a proper frequency spectrum analyzer, that can display these anomalies. Because of that you are looking at products such as Ekahau who have equipment for a proper site survey.0
