Hi all

Everything is fine with my fwa710, except that every now and then, I cannot reach the configuration web page (192.168.1.1).

When it happens I see that the physical green led on my network card, is off... it stays off even for a minute, then comes back on and blinks as if nothing happened.

Of course I have no internet for the whole period.

The router is updated to the latest fw available as of now 1.18(ACGC.4)C0

Thanks for the help!

Are you using IP Passthrough Mode?

Maybe bad cable or NIC failing?

    I don't think so :(

Just to try it out, I bought a 100/1000 switch. I attached the blue cable from ppoe of FW710 while the white next to it goes into my Fritzbox. (Ignore my cat's white hairs, it's impossible not to have them around)

When the problem occurs, the light on the blue cable, it just goes out, as if there was no signal from the FW710, as if it was switched off.

Then after a minute, it comes back on.

It happens infrequently, this month it has happened maybe twice, but it is still annoying, especially not knowing what it is or what I have to analyse to understand.

Maybe the PoE adapter is faulty.

I would agree with you, but if that were the case, a power problem that causes the router to reboot, I would have expected a new external IP and for the uptime counter to reset, instead the public IP remains unchanged and the uptime is always increasing.

    I'm wrong?

    Hi @Luke77

A power problem will cause WAN IP change and the system uptime will be reset, since the device rebooted.

In fact that's what I was telling PeterUK ;)
It seems strange to me that it could be a malfunction of the poe
